Frisky Wharf

This rather battered and left to rot pier is Frisky Wharf. It was the pier alongside Bowling station (on the left) dating from when the station was a terminus. Difficult to believe now, but track ran out onto this pier. Scotts of Bowling's shipyard was off to the bottom left. In the harbour the MV Sulby River continues to moulder away next to the harbour wall. The wharf was in use as a steamer pier for many years.
