Calder Aqueduct [LC]

Bridge 52 on the Lancaster Canal is the Calder Aqueduct. Because they are on virtually the same level, rather than a clear arch the Calder passes under the canal in a siphon. This is the weir on the upstream side, seen in October 2020. The WCML passes close by here too, just visible through the pylon on the left. See 83537 for a view of the downstream side of this structure.
