An immaculate LMS Black Five No 5305 (BR 45305) is about to leave York with the 'Scarborough Spa Express' on 14 July 1981. It reached Scarborough on time after an effortless journey which included 70mph between Malton and Seamer. Note the '53A' shedplate, acknowledging its rescue from Draper's scrapyard in Hull.
