Keswick

A pristine Derby Lightweight DMU is about to leave Keswick for Workington on 9 April 1955. DMUs were still a novelty at that time, and had only recently replaced the Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-0s. They provided excellent viewing from the front seats. Keswick to Workington closed in 1966, but the station lingered for another six years, served by DMUs from Penrith. See image 79405 for a present-day view.
