Barrow-in-Furness

Unlike many station buildings on the Cumbrian Coast, Barrow-in-Furness is of a relatively modern design. The original buildings were almost completely destroyed in a bombing raid on 7th May 1941. Seen here looking north-westwards in June 2014 during a quiet period, the main station building is on the left with an island platform on the right accessed via an underpass.
