Crewe
Crewe on 10 October 1981 and Bo-Bo No 81007 has just arrived with the 'Welsh Marches Pullman'. Tucked behind the Class 81 is 85024, which brought the Pullman from Carlisle to Warrington, where it then expired. Two Thunderbirds (a Class 25 and the Class 81) were available in the bay platform, with the 81 being the obvious choice to take the train forward. The Pullman continued to Shrewsbury behind one of the surviving EE Type 4s, 40019..
