Launch day of the QE2 at John Browns shipyard in Clydebank. The crowds are gathering in preparation for Her Majesty to launch the liner. There was a long pause after the launch button was pressed before the QE2 slowly slid down the slipway and into the River Clyde, much to the relief of the yard management. Photo by A McIntyre.
