Windermere
A Derby 2-car DMU waits in Windermere in 1981, five years before the track was cut back and the station was converted into a supermarket 21608. At this time the branch unit just shuttled the ten miles to Oxenholme and back rather infrequently, but there is now an hourly service seven days a week with several trains running through to Manchester Airport.
