Sedgwick Aqueduct

This substantial aqueduct (Bridge 178) carried the Lancaster Canal through the middle of Sedgwick village, a short distance to the south of Kendal. The channel is still in place across the aqueduct but most of the canal around here was filled in after commercial traffic ceased in the 1940s.
