Sheernest Bridge 148 [LC]
A picturesque stretch of the Northern Reaches of the Lancaster Canal runs through the village of Holme, as seen here in September 2020. The much lower level of the non-navigable section can be seen by the exposed bridge stonework, although a local resident has a shallow water craft to hand. The water supply from Killington to Tewiftifield runs through here so although shallow the water is clear and moving slowly.
