TransPennine Express 802214, from Edinburgh Waverley to Manchester Airport, emerging from the tunnel into its first call at Haymarket at 14.13 on Saturday, 18th June 2022. My friend and fellow Railscot contributor Bill Roberton was with me on this occasion and after a pleasant couple of hours in each other's company both here and at Slateford, we retired to Rykie's pub for a nice cool pint of Caledonian Gold each.
