Manchester Victoria
BR Standard 4MT 4-6-0 75049 with a passenger train leaving Manchester Victoria and about to take the Cheetham Hill line on 29th September 1959. The L&YR box seen here was later replaced by a huge structure controlling colour light signalling 24898 but that has also been more recently replaced by the Manchester Operations Centre.
