Denby

EWS liveried Brush built 60039 is seen during loading at the Denby disposal point in Derbyshire in 1998. This was sited on the rump of the former Ripley branch ending at the loading point headshunt end forward of the camera. The loco will draw further forward to complete loading, and then push the MGR rake back to clear the points before uncoupling and using the loop line on the left to run round the rake to couple up and then run down the branch to join the Sheffield to Derby line. As of 2022 60039 is one of the circa 25No of the class still active, and is now in DB Red livery and named 'Dove Holes'.
