Kjosfossen

A descending train, from Myrdal to Flam, has stopped at Kjosfossen for passengers to view the waterfalls. 2249, at the upper end of the train, is still inside the unlined tunnel waiting to continue down the Flam Valley. The E18 locos are very similar to the Swiss Rail RE460s (See image 55760). They are capable of 120mph but when used on the Flam line are restricted to 19mph descending and 24mph climbing.
