Kjosfossen

The platform at Kjosfossen was constructed solely to allow Flam Railway passengers to view two adjacent waterfalls (The one out of picture is much more impressive). The ten-coach tourist trains cannot fit in the platform and so half the train calls on the climb up to Vatnahalsen or Myrdal and the other half on the descent back to the fjord. This May 2022 shows the cramped nature of the site where part of the train sits in the tunnel during the brief call here.
