Manor House

Refurbished 49 years old LU 1973 stock arriving at Manor House with a Piccadilly Line service to Cockfosters, on 19th February 2022. Replacement of these trains with new stock has been set back by the covid pandemic. Manor House station will celebrate its 90th birthday on 19th September 2022, having been opened with the first stage of the London Electric Railways extension as far as Arnos Grove in 1932 with the line being renamed the Piccadilly Line in 1937 during a general renaming of lines by the LPTB. All the stations on the extension were designed by Dr. Charles Holden (1875-1960), the London Underground's Chief Architect between the two World Wars.
