Knockando

Approaching Knockando from the north on a fine May morning in 2012 along what is now part of The Speyside Way. The old station, opened in 1899 as Dalbeallie, was renamed Knockando in 1905, although it now displays the nameboard Tamdhu, in deference to the local distillery that took over the site following closure by BR in 1965. View is west along the trackbed of the former Speyside route to Grantown-on-Spey.
