Bradkirk Junction

Rails from the old direct line to Blackpool Central, latterly a civil engineers siding, are still in place at Bradkirk to the west of Kirkham. Having run parralel to the surviving line for some distance the start of a divergence can be seen in this eastwards view, which led to a long removed Up Line flyover to gain the line on to Preston. The more sharply curved formation on the far right was the old link to Wrea Green on the Blackpool South line. 331024, heading for Liverpool Lime St, passes the scene on 29th March 2022.
