Heysham Port
IOMSP 'Ben-my-Chree' arrives at Heysham after the day time crossing from Douglas on 5th March 2022. This view from Pilling on the opposite side of the Lune Estuary. To the stern of the ship Grange-over-Sands can be seen on the opposite side of Morecambe Bay. The two Heysham power stations dominate the scene. H1 on the left was scheduled to stop generating in 2024 but has been extended to 2026. H2 will continue into the 2030s.
