Lady Victoria Colliery

The north end of the National Mining Museum site at Newtongrange lit by early morning spring sunshine on 6 March 2022. Standing in the yard are two of the narrow gauge surface cars once used to bring in coal from Easthouses mine for preparation and onward shipment using the facilities at Lady Victoria. For a photograph showing the cars in operation see image 72286.
