Dicconson Lane and Aspull Halt
A view south at the site of Dicconson Lane & Aspull Halt in 2013. The station, having been reduced to halt status in 1936, was closed in 1954 with the Crow Nest Jct to Blackrod Jct line closing completely in 1968. At some point after the line was lifted, part of the embankment here was removed to construct the track that can be seen leading down to Dicconson Lane road. The Up platform (ash and sleeper construction) would have been on top of the embankment to the left.
