Manchester Exchange

Trans-Pennine DMU passing the west end of the out-of-use Manchester Exchange in late 1970. The station's platform 3 became part of Britain's longest railway platform at 2,238 feet when it was extended east in 1929 to join up with the west end of Manchester Victoria's platform 11.
