Ardeer looking east. From left to right; the Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Railway approached from the left (behind the camera), Ardrossan line, sidings, Ardeer ICI Nylon, Ardeer Misk. The L&AR previously crossed over some distance behind the camera and swung to the right of this shot, but, after LMS modifications, merged here at Stevenston No 1. The structure is the Ammonia Sphere.
