Newtongrange
A quiet Sunday morning at Newtongrange in April 2014 during a weekend break in construction work on the Borders Railway. The A7 can be seen crossing the formation just beyond the site of the new station in the left background, with the road bridge sporting its recently acquired raised parapets. Over to the right of the picture standing on land once occupied by colliery sidings, is part of the extensive temporary 'village' used by the various project teams during the construction phase.
