Watford Junction
A Class 122 Gloucester RCW Bubble car approaches the isolated St Albans Abbey branch platform at Watford Junction on 28th September 1975. Just visible in the background is a former LMS inspection saloon. Happily, this branch service, later electrified, survived well into the next century despite attracting frequent attention from cost-cutters and promoters of guided busways.
