Craigendoran Pier

Passengers queuing on Craigendoran pier to board Jeannie Deans. The photograph is thought to date from the summer of 1963. With thanks to Ian Smith, George W and John Robin for identifying the steamer; 'we are pretty sure the unidentified paddle steamer boarding at Craigendoran is the Jeanie Deans. This comes from comparing the lamp standards on the boarding platforms on the paddle boxes with those on Waverley, Caledonia and Talisman. Jeanie Deans is the only one with the lamps set inwards.'
