Gogginshill Tunnel

One of the three ventilation shafts in the 828m Gogginshill Tunnel. All remain unblocked and allow even more water into the tunnel which is flooded in places. The mist inside the tunnel from the dampness hinders visibility quite a bit in places. The tunnel was opened in 1850 and closed in 1961.
