Rossie Viaduct

Scotrail HST headed by 43031 crosses Rossie Viaduct as it nears Montrose with an Edinburgh to Aberdeen service on 24th September 2021. When constructed, the single line viaduct spanned a tidal channel which was one of the two entrances to the extensive Montrose Basin. Land reclamation and construction of a revised road network has resulted in the only entrance to the Basin now being spanned by the nearby South Esk Viaduct (see Image 74883).
