Elgin

Large logo 47118 arriving in Elgin with a passenger service in April 1985. A Class 37 is on the goods yard line. An interesting loco that was built as D1706, one of four with a Sulzer 12LVA power unit, later designated class 48. Conversion from Class 48 to Class 47 took place at Crewe Works between March and November 1970. It was withdrawn in 1991 and cut up by MRJ Phillips at Doncaster Depot in 1994.
