Spey Viaduct [Broomhill]

During a spell of hot, dry weather the Strathspey Railway had a lineside fire and had to go over to diesel operation and suspend the use of steam engines on their trains. Pictured in the distance is the first train of the day on 25th July 2021 heading for Broomhill, hauled by Class 31 No.D5862. The trackbed in the foreground was the Great North of Scotland Railway's line to Craigellachie and the pillars of the Spey Viaduct are clearly visible.
