Adlington [Cheshire]

There are at least three centuries on show here. The 19th century gave us the charming sloping station entrance on the left. The 20th century gave us the brutal, but effective, modernization of the bridge to accommodate electrification; while I think we can describe the Pendolino (running from Piccadilly to Euston) as a 21st century train.
