Beattock Summit
There is a lot of clutter on the west side of the line at Beattock Summit, making photography tricky, although it was just possible to capture 88008 'Ariadne' on the northbound Tesco on 30th July 2021. The locomotive has passed the summit but much of the long train is still climbing at this point.
