Meadowhead Paper Mill
After bringing fuel tanks from Grangemouth to Prestwick on 6th July 2021, Colas 70813 then ran light engine to the Caledonian Paper Mill branch at Meadowhead, Irvine where it picked up half of the tank wagons parked there. The photograph shows the train on departure at the south end of the branch, stopped at the pedestrian crossing from where the photograph was taken, and about to set down the shunter who then drove off in his van to Barassie where the train would run round and then be shut down. The shunter would then take the driver back to Grangemouth before returning to his home in Kilwinning.
