I somehow already knew this, but didn't know about this plaque. Oddly perhaps Wikipedia's own entry on itself mentions the two millionth entry, but not this or any other landmark on its way to the current 6.2 million English articles. Elsewhere though founder Jimmy Wales was recorded as being 'thrilled' about the entry.
