Neilston [1st]

Highland Railway 'Jones Goods' 4-6-0 103, seen climbing Neilston bank with a Branch Line Society special of 17th October 1965. The railtour was the final outing for the locomotive before retirement to the then Glasgow Transport Museum. The train has passed Barshagra and is close to the site of the 1855 Crofthead terminus of the first extension of the Barrhead line. It was renamed Neilston and replaced on extension of the line to Kilmarnock.
