Stranraer Town

The Stranraer sleeper was maintained at Stranraer Town until the service was withdrawn in 1990. This was the sleeper coach maintenance siding in 1988 - the former station is off to the left in this west facing view. This had been the site of the original carriage shed and sidings (until their replacement with larger facilities at Stranraer Harbour Junction in the Second World War).
