Didcot Parkway
The Class 769 FLEX units are finally coming into service. GWR 769943, a Bi-Mode MU, rolls into Didcot on 19th May 2021. Originally a BR built 1987-90, Class 319 EMU converted by Brush to operate in either diesel or electric modes. The GWR sets are primarily intended for the Oxford - Reading - Gatwick route and can operate from the overhead and third rail as well as the new on board diesel engines.
