James Ross Farquharson

The London society magazine Vanity Fair dated 26 August 1876 featured this caricature portrait of James Ross Farquharson, Laird of Invercauld and Chairman of the Aboyne and Braemar Railway Company. He was also known as Piccadilly Jim and, as laird, he personally funded the building of the Bridge of Gairn Tramway. The artist was (James) Jacques Joseph Tissot 1836-1902).
