Gretna Green

Passengers at Gretna Green are outnumbered by the Hi-Vis brigade on 17 July 2008 as work on the new platform and footbridge is brought to a temporary halt. The cause of the hold up is the arrival of a Glasgow Central - Carlisle train. The station closed the following Saturday along with the line between here and Annan for a period of 2 weeks, reopening in early August as a double track route (see image 20212).
