Woodacre Crossing
In what is believed to be the first run of a Hitachi Class 80x set on the WCML, TPE 802201 worked from Edge HIll to Carlisle on 4th May 2021. It returned later in the day but went to Bolton and then on to Longsight and repeated the run on other days that week. Whether these tests are a precursor to some regular West Coast passenger workings for these trains is not clear at present.
