Newchurch Halt
Culcheth Linear Park runs along the old GCR Wigan Central branch from the point where it crossed the L&MR near Kenyon Junction, down through Culcheth and on towards Newchurch Halt. The trackbed right of way runs out however just by this bridge, which carries the A574 over the old railway. Newchurch Halt, which opened as late as 1943, was just a little further on. It closed with the line in November 1964.
