Dunstable North

Bus on the then new Luton & Dunstable Guided Busway at White Lion stop in Dunstable on 2nd October 2013. This opened on the trackbed of the former railway line closed to passengers in 1965 and to cement trains in 1989. Closure left the large town of Dunstable totally divorced from the rail network. The busway has since proved to be something of a white elephant. Reports state that most Dunstable residents would have preferred to have their trains back.
