Motherwell Shed

Standard 9F 2-10-0 92019 was the only engine in steam at Motherwell depot on 10th May 1967, and made its presence felt by laying a smokescreen whilst filling up at the water column alongside the shed. The loco was about to head for Larbert to take charge of the ICI Soda Ash train to Wallerscote in Cheshire. This was one of the last regular steam workings north of the border.
