Basildon

A sign of the times on the up platform at Basildon, seen from a C2C service from Shoeburyness to Fenchurch Street, on 1st September 2020. Although the New Town of Basildon was created in the 1950s, the people who resettled here had to wait until 1974 before Basildon station was added to the line.
