Ardmore East Signal Box

The Royal Scotsman heads west (to the right) over Ardmore East level crossing in the summer of 1985. On the right behind the train can be seen the upper level of Ardmore East SB built during WW2 to replace the original SB when Ardmore yard was constructed. The box closed when the signalling of the North Clyde lines moved to Yoker. The LC originally had four gates worked by a wheel in the box.
