Hissmofors
Located beside a waterfall (fors) on the river Indalsälven where a hydro-electric plant was built in the 1890s is this relatively small sawmill (production <200,000 m3 per year). Timber and wood products are transported along this branch line off the West Jämtland mainline (Mittbanan) near the town of Krokom; at the time of my visit the mill was in summer shutdown.
