Beamish Open Air Museum

More than 140 years old, Lewin No.18, dating from 1877, is hauling a goods train at Beamish Open Air Museum on 19th June 2018. This was designed by Stephen Lewin of Poole, Dorset and worked maintenance trains to the dockyard and harbour at Seaham (and a long way from Poole) and though the harbour still exists, the line and its locomotives, apart from No.18, are long gone. No.18 has a permanent home at Beamish.
