Bathgate Shed

Dereliction at Bathgate in the summer of 2008. View north east across the front of the old running shed with the former shed offices in the background and Edinburgh Road beyond. Designated 64F by British Railways, the shed had officially closed to traffic at the end of 1966. Following closure by BR it saw various other uses, including a period as a garage and latterly as home to a property maintenance company. The abandoned buildings are seen here awaiting their ultimate fate on 31 July 2008. The coup de grace was finally administered in September the following year to make way for the new Bathgate station car park- see 25412.
