Clackmannan and Kennet

Heavy coal trains through Clackmannan have come and gone twice over the years, the second coming followed 28 years in which the line through the village was out of use and overgrown, and ended with the closure of Longannet power station in 2016. This photo shows 66062 on the eastern outskirts of Clackmannan returning 23 empty hoppers from Longannet on a disappointing 18th June 2011.
