Chorleywood
LUL S8 stock on Metropolitan Line service to Amersham arriving at Chorleywood on 27th May 2013. This ztfL station is also served by Chiltern Trains from Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway. When the East/West Rail is completed, Chiltern Trains will be extended to Milton Keynes Central via a reopened section of the old GCR main line and the Calvert spur on to the Oxford to Bletchley line (also to be reopened) at Claydon LNE Junction. Even with a change at Milton Keynes, the new route will provide Aylesbury again with a link to the Midlands and North which was lost when the GCR was closed in 1966 as part of the Beeching cuts.
